What is resilience ?
Resilience is your ability to bounce back after difficult times. It’s when you’re dealing with challenges and you’re still able to hold your head up high. It’s not giving up even when things don’t go your way. It’s your ability to fight through the urges of giving up and being strong on the inside in the face of adversity.
“Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity” and one of the most important skills in life. We all face difficulties, challenges and setbacks, but resilience is what determines whether we fight through it and grow, or whether cave in and let those challenges defeat us.
We all have an inherent mental strength that exists inside all of us. Grit. Determination. Willpower. Fortitude. These are all words that describe mental toughness and mental toughness is your ability soldier through struggles and succeed. Mental toughness is a term used in psychology to refer to the resilience and strength that people possess.
Anyone can be resilient — it just means that you’re tough enough to bounce back from difficult circumstances.
Resilience isn’t a fixed trait. Flexibility, adaptability, and perseverance can help people tap into their resilience by changing certain thoughts and behaviors.
